Strategy House provided ongoing consulting to TELUS Advertising Services (TAS) for three years. Initially, we were hired to provide a newly created business development team with a common approach to prioritizing and evaluating business growth opportunities. From there, working on retainer, Strategy House collaborated with internal team members to evaluate dozens of growth opportunities including product extensions, new products and new market opportunities.
Strategy House was directly involved in plotting TAS’s expansion strategy into eastern Canada and the U.S. Buy versus build options were evaluated, acquisition targets were identified and evaluated, and market launch strategies and implementation plans were crafted. Results included three strategic acquisitions; the launch of a Toronto TELUS telephone directory; and the launch of online search portals, direct mail products and local travel guides.
